kanso shows the Bluesky discussion for the web page you're viewing and lets you
post comments as posts on your own Bluesky account. kanso sends nothing to us.
The only data that leaves your browser goes to Bluesky's own servers, to do the things you ask
it to do — look up a page's thread and publish your comments. The developers receive no data,
run no analytics, and use no third-party trackers.
What kanso accesses, and why
The URL and title of the page you're viewing — sent to Bluesky's public
search API to find the discussion for that page. This happens only while the kanso side panel
is open. It is not stored, not logged, and not sent anywhere other than Bluesky.
Your Bluesky sign-in — you sign in with a Bluesky App Password. kanso
exchanges it once with Bluesky (bsky.social) for session tokens and stores those
tokens locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local) so you stay signed in.
Your app password itself is never stored.
Your comments — when you post, kanso publishes the text and link as an
ordinary post to your own Bluesky account. These are public Bluesky posts that belong to you.
What kanso does not do
No data is sent to the extension's developers or to any third party other than the Bluesky
services listed below.
No analytics, tracking, advertising, or fingerprinting.
No selling or sharing of your data.
No reading of page content beyond the URL and title.
No remote code — kanso runs only the code shipped inside the extension package.
Where your data lives
Session tokens: locally in your browser only (removed when you sign out or
uninstall).
Your comments and identity: in your own Bluesky account (your atproto
repository), governed by Bluesky's own terms and privacy policy.
Your control
Sign out in the extension to remove the stored session.
Revoke the App Password at any time in Bluesky settings (bsky.app → Settings → App
Passwords).
Uninstalling the extension removes all data kanso stored locally.
Third-party services kanso communicates with

privacy policy.
api.bsky.app, bsky.social — read discussion threads, sign in, and
publish posts.
